I followed the 35 minutes and my dinner wasn’t ready at the same time, we all sat around waiting for the rice.3- Once the rice is fully cooked, let it rest for 10-15 minutes or so, then fluff it with a fork. I’m not Lebanese, and we make a similar rice in Egypt. This again helps keep it from becoming sticky or gluey.I have been using your recipes as is and tweaking. It’s made up of just four ingredients and yet is still super flavorful. A great side dish next to many Mediterranean favorites.We do not recommend the multiplier for rice recipes.
I served it with the medditeran chicken from this site and mediterranean salad. It’s all in the method. This will stop it from clumping up, for fluffy rice.Begin by rinsing the rice until the water runs clear If doing so in a bowl, then you may need to do this 3-4 times (this water can be used to water plants). Now add 3 1/2 cups of water and bring it to a boil until the water significantly reduces and you’re able to see the rice through (see the photo below). Course: Main, Side. Add a bit of toasted pine nuts, and you have the best side of rice!

Poached shrimp, rice noodles, herbs, and lettuce are rolled into a thin rice … Stir fry for 1-2 minutes.As an optional step, once removed from the heat, place a clean dish towel between the lid and pot and leave to steam for a further 5-10 minutes. However, I say this is optional – as it doesn’t always need it.By adding these to your rice dish, you end up with additional color, flavor, and texture.
The time is really about 50 minutes if you follow the directions at the minimum and brown the vermicelli.
