He could show exactly what part of the knob broke. and my lures will have fish on them instead of sitting lonely in the grass and mangroves. The solution for either knot is retie every 30 mins or have numerous rods with the same rig you are catching the fish on. ThanksI believe that the FG stands for Fine GripI do not recommend the FG knot for that connection because it is designed to protect a braided line from breaking when connected to a stronger mono/fluoro leader. The FG knot is totally dependent on the very first coil staying tight and in place. Same knot?So if targeting a fish that can be caught on a 20 lb leader, I highly recommend bumping down to a 10 lb braid because you’ll still have plenty of power and your casting and feeling of strikes will improve assuming you’re using spinning gear.

My worry is that it won’t work because the key for it’s ability to never slip off is the thin braid’s ability to dig grooves into the outer layer of the leader… I don’t believe that the thicker flyline will be able to do that.My pleasure!
