I was disappointed with the night vision as I had a lot of haloing with it. But, it's very conspicuous. Fixed the typo.I have a Eufy doorbell camera too.
But. You can soft reset the device with 5 “quick” clicks on the sync button within 3 seconds.
It would be neat if they added it, but not a big deal for me if they don't.Thanks for sharing. Amazon.com : eufy Security, Wi-Fi Video Doorbell, 2K Resolution, No Monthly Fees, Secure Local Storage, Human Detection, 2-Way Audio, Free Wireless Chime-Requires Existing Doorbell Wires : Camera & Photo
I paid way more then that for mine. But so far I only have it turning on my porch and front patio lights 10 seconds after the doorbell is pressed and can't imagine having it do much more than that.Anyways, hope this helps if anyone is trying to decide on a doorbell cam. I do have access to Alexa via an Ecobee Switch and Thermostat so but I never use Alexa.Currently you can only have it trigger an Alexa Routine on the button press. If you want a more complex automation when the doorbell rings, you could have an automation controlled by a virtual switch, and have the routine toggle the switch. Very pleased so far.I have some questions and i'm hoping you or someone can answer.I wanted to get a camera to cover my front yard and decided that a doorbell camera was the easiest and fastest option as I wouldn't have to run any more wires or rely on a battery powered camera (I'm in Canada and want to avoid anything battery powered outdoors). When someone pushes the button I have the included chime going, my phone making a sound, and the Dot.
Have to say I'm not huge on the lag between motion and notification however.I never even looked at integration with SmartThings. I've had it a few months now. Finally, I pulled the doorbell off, held the reset button and tried again. I had the same basic requirement as you that meant I didn't like any of the doorbells on the market until I found Eufy. I was able to get the camera to connect. Very pleased so far. Eufy Doorbell doesn't work with IFTTT either.you mentioned the Eufy camera can be integrated with ST, I have a Samsung Smart TV and the Ring doorbell and any other camera will not only notify me but also allow me to select a live stream. Download the Eufy Security app from the App Store (iOS devices) or Google Play (Android devices). An issue I didn't have with the Ring I've always siloed them differently in my head. The next problem it wouldn't connect to the remote Chime. I really like the look of the Eufy cam. Let me know if you have any questions. It can only integrate with Smartthings via Alexa right now, or at least I haven't found a way.

But, it's very conspicuous.Whoops, it was $40 off, not $40 total haha. Eufy Video Doorbell Soft Reset. It's all so loud.I did have a Yi outdoor cam on my porch instead for a couple years that worked well for motion alerts and 2 way audio. I did have a Yi outdoor cam on my porch instead for a couple years that worked well for motion alerts and 2 way audio. I had decided that Smartthings integration wouldn't be that important for a video doorbell as long as the doorbells app was reliable and fully featured, which the Eufy seemed to be.
I tried to setup the motion detection area of the camera and it constantly wouldn't save my changes. Here are my observations:My only complaint at all with the camera is the same as yours: I wish the motion recording and motion alerts were independent. I was able to get the camera to connect. I am interested in the smartthings integration. For context I use Smartthings primarily for my automations and sensing. So right off the bat that knocks out Ring and Nest, the two doorbells that would integrate best with ST or Google Assistant.I just wanted to share my experience choosing a doorbell camera in case others can benefit from my process and discoveries.
