Certainly a film that takes refuge in audacity. If you already watched them and love the action, adventure, turmoil, and triumph of Vikings, these other nine shows should help tide you over while Vikings hiatus continues. Not bad, but not that good eighter. Therefore, any subversion falls a bit flat as the trope is unbuilt.As far as history goes, this show zig-zags between really good and aweful. How will they survive? Features some amazing music with a heavy mix of modern instruments and instruments used in the viking age. The Sami and Chuds of the original has been replaced with a non-descript tribe of native Americans and some vikings that really looks like NHL-players. It's subversions of the Beowulf story falls really flat. Stars: Katheryn Winnick, Gustaf Skarsgård, Alexander Ludwig, Georgia Hirst. 2 hr 17 min. It serves the movie well in every scene. With Dean Ridge, Ross O'Hennessy, Kezia Burrows, James Groom. Looks slightly more historicly accurate than the average viking film.

A bonus point goes for casting actual Scandinavians as 95% of the viking characters.Props to Disney for featuring primarly Scandinavians as all the Norse characters.
Mostly the costumes and weapons are pretty accurate, but at other things... Eh, not so much. If they where, they where probably hanging around the Baltic.German adaptation of another Swedish classic, as the Swedes do not seem to be able to adapt their own books.A very mixed bag. Most people are not that familiar with the epic poem (I can recommend Julian Glover's amazing recording for those who want to explore it). I have not seen this.A really ugly and loud film.
