As you would expect, from a title that relies heavily on audio, the music in Rez is top notch. Not just on PS4, either; I mean on anything. The game looks like, well it looks like an unfinished game. Traditional Rez – a high definition remastering of the Sega-published Dreamcast and PS2 original – is one thing. An awesome game that is very unique to the PS2. REZ playstation 2.
Once you get a few minutes into a level the game begins to add new features and starts to build the details, depending on how well you are playing. Rez is a fast moving, wire-frame, action shooter backed by industrial beats. The idea of the ten levels is to build up your character through the evolution and overdrive points (both dropped by killing enemies) before stepping up to the big baddy.Infinite is probably one of the best-looking VR games available today. Condition: Used.
Watching one of these stages unfold on TV simply cannot compare to the sense of scale that virtual reality creates.
To progress to the fifth level, the first four levels must be completed at 100%, and after that there are a few extras to be unlocked which add a bit more replayability to the game. Once you have the game completely opened up it is up to you how long it really lasts you. Product Details.
There are also bonus modes including Beyond – a series of conceptual levels for after the campaign is finished or you’ve played over five hours – and score attack, so for £24.99 there’s still a decent amount of content. You can either look at targets to shoot them or aim with the left stick. If Rez Infinite is your first experience in virtual reality, prepare to peak in every sense of the word.
Each time the X button is pressed, it adds music, be it a strike of a snare or kick of the bass drum, and it builds upon Rez’s iconic synaesthetic immersion. In arcade mode, each stage has you working through a series of ten levels, the tenth containing the boss.
Cool Game. There are lots of different people that will enjoy Rez and there are lots of different people that will like it more than others.
The title also supports surround sound systems, which is great to help you become immersed in the game. The main game can be completed quite easily in about three hours, so longevity is one aspect where Rez kind of falls flat on its wire meshed face. Although the music is not performed, or composed, by mainstream artists (no one I have heard of anyway) it is still first class in quality.
With Tetsuya Mizuguchi as the brains behind this one-of-a-kind adventure it’s bound to be good; the question is … just how good?Music is a huge part of what makes Rez great, without the music it would be just another run of the mill shooter. You know those wire frames you see when companies have not yet put textures on their creation? but I held myself back.
Its precision-directed on-rails motion and simple polygon shapes retain bags of style and even some lingering sense of the futuristic 16 years later. Rez PS2 Review. Gameplay couldn’t be simpler – simply look at up to eight targets while holding X, then release to shoot them.
There are several modes, but the first to jump into is the classic arcade mode. But the decoration around the gameplay can be mesmerising.
As I said at the start of this review, it is nearly impossible to hate the title; everyone I know that has played it has had nothing bad to say about it. I bought this game on ebay as it is an older game that has always received good reviews, but is currently out of production and impossible to find in stores. Rez Sony Playstation 2 Game. All you DJs and music lovers out there will definitely get into the fact that your player’s actions actually change the music and backgrounds on the fly. The game is extremely detailed and I believe it must have been a damn right pain to develop, as every part of the game is synced with another part of the game. I chose the former, and realised I was doing an amazing Stevie-Wonder-at-the-piano impression when there was a large number of enemies to kill.
It is the type of game everyone should play at least once.
If Rez Infinite is your first experience in virtual reality, prepare to peak in every sense of the word. Thankfully, Rez Infinite’s is up there with the best of them. It’s hard to describe how incredible being in one of Rez Infinite’s levels is. Watching enemies fly in from behind, being able to spin around and catch those who try to flee my fire at the last second, and seeing a boss the size of a hangar being built right in front of me… It’s sensational. Also, stage one of each level features a very simple sound, and each progression adds new layers to the song, with stage ten culminating in a much more complex and brilliant score. Genre: Shooter.
Well, that’s the way the game starts off, but it develops into a much more beautiful thing as it continues. It’s very short – only five stages in total, each lasting around 10-15 minutes – but packs a stiff challenge. Rez was released on the Dreamcast, months before the PlayStation 2 release took place.
