How do you prefer it?As I said my mum was called Dahlia and although she loved her name it was mispronounced all her life .I am as southern and RP as it gets and I have never heard it pronounced anything other than day-lia.I would say day-lia for the flower but I think dah-lia is far nicer if you're using it for a name.Both pronunciations are correct.
