“soldado” in Xavier Varela Barreiro & Xavier Gómez Guinovart: Corpus Xelmírez - Corpus lingüístico da Galicia medieval. Ok, where do you want to do it? Was it the bracelet? Also, how is the fact that she was “killing Mexicans,” while there on the bridge relevant? Was that ok?
One thing that bugged me: why does Kate hold a gun on Alejandro when she comes out of the tunnel? But that is where Kate (we) finds herself (ourselves) after all the cards have been played.
Her realization of the way things really were in the world was too much for her to handle.I think tactically FBI agents are more investigators, not really hands on, I know they invented swat teams, but I know women are the ones kicking down the door. In Sicario: Day of the Soldado, the series begins a new chapter. I don’t understand what the meaning of the gunshot was in the end.
what is the connection with the first scene of the movie? It’s normal in Mexico. I loved Arrival. Once across the border, Alejandro (Del Toro) used the policeman (also caught up in the drug cartels) to pull over the target (using CIA intelligence) and eventually make his way to the drug lord. I will look elsewhere for a better understanding of this movie I just watched.I do understand, when you say how she looks naive, and unbelievably ignorant.
especially after his daughter was killed in such cruel circumstances, but after a short while thinking it almost felt irrelevant. Brilliant film! All my questions answered in this thread. You don’t know anything besides the fact that you want to make a difference.
The cinematography blew me away but my overall impression of the movie is negative because of her character.Fuck Alejandro at the end, I guess he was CIA, or was paid by the CIA, I wish she would have shot him, he deserved it. Emptiness!
Our innocent rule following Kate, is totally flummoxed by her sudden plunge into dark savagery. He didn’t let her make the term sound derogatory as in a heartless killer.
sicario (plural sicarios) hitman, hired killer (especially when referring to Latin American drug cartels) 1992, Tina Rosenberg, Children of Cain: Violence and the Violent in Latin America, p. 34: The traffickers created a Frankenstein's monster that gradually slipped out of their control: the sicarios. You don’t know the players. And it happens so quickly and with such alacrity that it’s surprising. You can rest assured, that my conclusion below will say that everyone will enjoy this movie, while also being repulsed by it. I saw her character as an amazing mirror or her soul. I get distracted of the subtitles thinking about Jessica Chastain in Zero dark thirty. Thank you! So I can see how she could be on the team, but I think in real life, she’d be the one in the van, or the base, not on the front lines. Loved it.It was a prisoner swap. But this is the question… is this brutality the only effective response to the war on drugs? I couldn’t read enough books on the topic. Remember, she was Lilly white, do things by the book, and make a difference. I’m sorry, but a frail, underweight woman would never be placed in such a role for such an operation in real life. Soon she meets the elusive character Alejandro, that is described by her team as a “sicario” which is Spanish for hitman. Right at the line? But, in the movie Sicario, I don’t know why, I heated Benicio del Toro’s character. She didn’t want to be involved, she didn’t want to kill anyone… she was in Mexico, illegally, killing Mexicans, and way way in over her head.Well stated: we can’t solve the problem, but perhaps we can more easily control it if only one cartel is in charge.
